Sunderland should be on the same level as the mags but the last few years have been nothing short of a disaster. Both clubs need each other because they have nothing else, the rivalry and the derbies are what we live for.

What's that, recently twice relegated, in another relegation battle and no Wembley celebration in half the club's existence. They're currently gaining a reputation as a dreary team with 25% possession and stinking the PL out with their horrible 'style' of football. We could easily be 'at their level' in 4 months time. You may have missed it but 'the results over the past few years' have been a series of humiliations for Newcastle and a record 6 defeats in a row.

It's irrelevant where Sunderland are, in relation to Newcastle, regarding discussing the football issues. It's a football forum where all clubs are discussed. People were discussing Man City & Arsenal last night despite us being much further below them, if we can only discuss teams below us it would make this forum a very strange place.

They can't be that stupid, saying that though they can be so wouldn't be surprised.

Looks like Rafa has put some weight on too mind, must be all those greggs.

How long till greggs make a Paella Pastie in honour of Rafa I wonder? :lol:
