done ok for me,but i worry if we get up,if we struggle i wouldnt fancy our chances with him,i wouldnt get rid after 6 or 7 but bottom 3 after 13-16 games i would move on unless weve been mega unlucky.

Learning curve for him but he needs to realise that this isn’t the Champions League we are in and start letting teams worry about us rather than the other way around.
I'm behind him, but I agree.

I think he doesn't want to be seen playing direct/old school tactics when needed as he's an up and coming 'trendy' manager . A few times today a big direct switch was on to McGeady or Morgan who were in acres and it didn't happen. We could have caused them so many problems IMO if we were more direct, they were garbage.

Said before, even if we go up - he has to massively improve both his style of play and also in-game tactics.

We had run out of ideas until their mistake and a bit of magic from a talented player.

Even then we were hanging on against the (statistically anyway) worst team in the league, and they had a chance late on to get a point. If we win the league or get promoted we have huge improvements to make if we want to be competitive in the Championship.

He sets us up so defensively, it's painful to watch to be honest. First half we come out so slowly, no intensity at all. Luckily, a bit of class from McGeady won us the game. I don't think we will go up automatically if manager persists with these negative tactics.

I work with a lot of jock fans and they are all saying he needs 2 seasons to get his team together and get them playing his way. I'm not convinced and I think he's got one style and doesn't know how to change it up to get a result or hang on to one . I think he's out of his depth genuinely

Another dour performance. Week after week.

he can bang on about 2 defeats all season but the entertainment value at the moment is 2 out of 10.

Feck me, we take the piss ref Rafas brand of football, but we are tough to watch. Bottom of the league and yet did their keeper have to make more than a cupla saves ? Piss poor IMHO.

Most illuminating.

Nobody is suggesting sacking him.

That said today's performance was not good enough and unless something changed I don't think we will get promoted.
We won't be top 2, I'll tell u that for nowt.

I don’t understand why people have such a strong stance against 1 up top.
We are playing pretty much the same formation as the best teams in the world.
The only difference is they play higher up the pitch. They get away with it because most teams they play against don’t play long ball which unfortunately if we went for a high press would probably get caught out sooner or later.
It sounds like our tactic is to spread the game as much as possible and get people 1 on 1. Which is exactly where our goal came from.
I’d of course like a high pressing game as I think it’s whatgets our fans excited but in this league it’s so easy to play against.

I like the fella. Great temperament, articulate and thoughtful....but I’m not seeing stuff on the pitch that is pleasing to the eye. Two questions for you...

1. Do you think we have the best squad in the league?

2. Do we look as if it’s the best squad?

No
