I think it’s safe to assume he hasn’t backdated for all of the advertising he got until he disclosed recently that payments have started.

Both of those creeps had far better players st their disposal. I don’t even think that’s up for discussion.

Any advertising revenue you've lost would have been swallowed up by interest payments if Ashley hadn't been giving you a £100M interest free loan for over 10 years.

Obviously that doesn't count like....

Asked him to back up his charity claims, he ignored it.

You think Benitez is about as much of a yes man as the other, but just complains more?

Why do you think he is still there?

They're not mutually exclusive. Ashley could have sold the advertising space and used that money to pay down the debt the club owes him. But he hasn't he's kept the debt for the most part, kept free/cheap advertising, and so on.

All the shirt sales and merchandise would have paid that off,had the club received any money for it instead of sports direct

How much does Ashley want for the club?

If he'd paid down the debt, you'd have moaned about him "taking money out of the club" though!

Benitez? I think he believes that with proper backing, the right players and a bit of luck Newcastle United could be a top half team with a top half team's chance of silverware and European competition. He sees potential.

plus all the other factors like; English club, not too far from his family, loyal support. We're one of very few that meet all the criteria he has, who would also be interested in him.

So a few thousand per game is going to help pay off a £100M debt plus interest. Get real you clown :)

I don't know precise figures obviously, but it's been widely reported that he's asking for £300m for the club, that he wants to keep the Sports Direct advertising up (for a period), that he wants the merchandising rights (similar to Rangers) and that he wants a bonus should we stay up.

But that's just what's been reported, he could be asking for 1 shiny penny or seven golden unicorns.

And what do you believe the club is actually worth, in your opinion ..... also how much is this 'staying up' bonus?

Where was it reported about him denying the charity space? Genuinely haven't seen that.

Also, I'm fairly sure I read that if the advertising space was sold to SD at under market value they'd now have to report it? Maybe @Grumpy Old Man can confirm that though, I may have misunderstood.
All related party transactions have to be disclosed. They are properly disclosed in the accounts of NUFC, together with a statement that they took place at arms-length prices.
