It's better to overspend and not derail the season than to not overpay and watch the season collapse.

Well done to Donald for spending more than Griggs value when he could have easily refused .

I'm confident now we will have too much for the other side's Luton aside.

Have you seen SAFC's signings the last 5 year?

I'm very happy with Grigg transfer, just making a point that this isn't necessarily the case.

Yep. Owner has put his hands into the coffers when we needed it. Total opposite of last January’s pathetic deadline day striker scramble. Nowt to complain about especially when the fee is undisclosed anyway. Childish whining is a sport in itself for some of our fans.

Sorry but the revisionism in some quarters is remarkable.

I'm glad they've got their man but to say yesterday wasn't a scramble is blinkered beyond belief. Fair play to SD for putting his money where his mouth is but hopefully this serves as a lesson.

Every other club are calm and collected on transfer deadline day. Only SAFC have to scramble around. Factamundo.

As per Donald’s tweets if Grigg costs 4 mill, we will be back in the Premier League.

Well I’m commenting that safc aren’t an exception and loads of clubs have last day scrambles.

Good for you. I'd disagree that it's quite so chaotic as yesterday seemed mind. It'll hopefully serve as a learning curve to the ownership - they've talked a lot about transfer planning but that can sharp go out the window.
