i’ve seen him play for Atlanta 2-3 times. He looks fast in that league and a skillful left foot, but he’s all left. Has a fair few passes cut out which will probably increase but will say has a good attitude. Will probably score some goals on the break but will be surprised if teams don’t know how to defend him after 2-3 months.
Interesting to see how he does with hard tacking on heavy winter pitches compared to a lot of placcy here...
Why the fuck do you know all that about the mags? Obsessed much?- Sold a 23 year old Mitrovic and replaced him with Joselu 5m, and Rondon on loan (who is 30, has half as many goals as Mitrovic, and they don't even own him)
- Signed Jacob Murphy for 14m and he's on loan in the Championship
- Signed Muto for 10m and doesn't pick him
- Signed Gayle for 11m, on loan in the Championship
- Signed Sels for 7m, he played 9 games and left at a 50% loss.
- Signed Grant Hanley for 6m, sold him a year later for 3m
- Signed a 33 year old Daryl Murphy for 4m, played started about 3 games and left for a fraction of that
- Spent 5m on Javi Manquillo
To be fair, Dubravka was a really good signing, Schar is pretty decent, as is Fernandez.
Quality parody tbfYou’ve been done by the parody account mate..
Where as Newcastle are?!Paraguay aren't your sterotypical South American national team with attacking flair or guile, I always found Paraguay to be more of a workman like team known for its battling qualities and hard work in comparison to other South American sides. Not exactly a side ideal for attacking players?
As said Newcastle probably did spend over the odds on him, but it will be interesting to see how he fairs out.
From a league that Altidore is one of the bestAre they all giddy they’ve signed a player they have no idea will be any good.
He could, but that's not what I said. What I asked was, would you be more likely to be successful buying proven PL players for 20m, than buying obscure players with no international pedigree, (despite his national side being weak) from obscure divisions for 20m. There's a reason why the most successful PL clubs tend to buy from other PL clubs, or from the major European leagues, and they buy players with pedigree or potential. As I said, you don't see many PL teams hoying 25m bids for 25 year olds from Polish league who've got 10 caps for Slovakia. Replace 'Polish league' with MLS and 'Slovakia' with Paraguay, and you see why I think it is a very strange transfer. He has no pedigree, and he's far too old and expensive to be 'one for the future'.
I'm not saying he'll fail, it is just a very odd transfer. As I said earlier, if you looked at his profile - where he's played, his age, his international career etc, it doesn't scream 'PL club record record-shattering transfer', it screams 'tentative loan to Bristol City'.
Just ask Cherno Samba!Footy Manager is usually fairly accurate on judging players.

He's started 3 games for Paraguay since July 2017...
And Paraguay have played 8 or 9 games in that time, and he was on the bench for a few of them.
You missed out 4/5 million for their American RB that we had on loan, can't remember his name and I'm too lazy to find out at this time of the morning. Quick lad, reminds me of a dog chasing a ball.
He’s an ugly little bastard. He’ll fit in right nice up there. On their official website.... #woralmiron

I was simply using the example the other poster gave me. That he would rather sign an obscure, 10-cap, 25 year old Paraguayan from an obscure league than a 'an average player from Watford' for 25m.The problem with that is that you don’t get proven premier league number 10s for £20m
You keep mentioning Will Hughes who is a completely different type of player.
Yes most clubs would rather sign a proven pl player at the same price as an unproven one but that just isn’t possible unless you are getting someone in final year of contract.
The defending for the highlights is absolutely shocking.I think he will be a major flop, bradley weight-Phillips is like Sergio Aguero in that league. The standard is awful and the style wholly different.
I googled 'Rafa Benitez signings', in direct response to a question about them. It took 10 minutes...Why the fuck do you know all that about the mags? Obsessed much?
Yedlin.
