Maja-Getting up to 3.5m on a young striker who didn't want to be here.

Grigg-Paid a bit over on hopefully the bloke who will score the goals to get us promoted and lead our attack - owners have a lot to learn, clubs having our pants down, thought the piss taking had stopped. Honestly, some of our lot man. Git big sopping fannies.

The whole season was decided at the last minute with the signing of Grigg. We left it late and paid over the top, but we can't say Ross wasn't backed.
A midfielder who captained a top 5 Championship club last season, a striker that has an average of 21 goals/season for the last 3 seasons at this level plus one of his favourite players from his former club.
There's no excuse for finishing lower than top 2, let's be honest (IF the Grigg deal goes through).

This.

Give your head a wobble man came very close to f***ing it up and was bent over a barrel while almost doing so. A lesson for him to learn

Ssssshhhh they dont like the truth. Almost 3 weeks and 6 or 7 bids, our original bid was 200k. Got what was needed but panicked like fuck and dilly dallied about.

"What a disaster, we need a forward, Stewart Donald's fcked up, he said he'd sign a striker, just give Wigan what they want! That's our season over, mess of a club, lessons to be learned."

£4million?! They've had our pants down. What a disaster, lessons to be learned."

Some right nuggets on here.

All depends how you look at it. Wigan will be buzzing. But if we’ve shipped out Oviedo then that’s fine for us financially. All about balancing the books and clearly this signing won’t disrupt that.

We are all passionate fans that in reality know very little about professional football and how to run a business of our size.

Sometimes it’s better to go along with things, see how it goes and have reasonable discussions rather that jump to conclusions and be negative at every decision made.

Fuck that, I go to watch the accounts/books flying down the wing. If it is a total of 4m quid it will completely ruin promotion for me, even if its his goals that clinch it.

So exactly as the lad said.
Agreed.
Good to hear that we can pay that much in our position but also a bit of a shock.
