It's only a better deal if we replace him adequately. As it stands we would have a far better chance of promotion with him than without him. Obviously depending on his attitude he hasn't shown any signs of sulking.
Apart from the odd game he cries off and the fact he clears out his locker and fucked off before the deal was rubber stamped, I think a few too many are giving him the benefit of the doubt too much on here during this saga.

No. No. No.

None of this matters to some of the clowns on here.

In August Methven stated that this year the club was expecting to lose 5 million. Since then we have had 3.5 in for Ndong and now 1.5 in for Maja. Both incomes that could not have been accounted for in the summer. I’m not sure if Khazri going was before or after that interview.

Donald has also stated projected figures were based on 27k attendances iirc, and we also have increased attendances and extra match day revenue.

There’s an outstanding issue with wages owed to Alvarez but Short is paying half of these but nobody knows how much this will cost the club. Nobody seems to want to say.

I know, highly unlikely.

I'd just wish they'd say we aint planning on spending, we are selling players to pay off debts. As it what is happening. Which is fine if that is what you wanna do, but don't try and PR spin it.

Well we have to believe him, just saying its a contradictory statement to what they said on RR like
Why on earth would they say that? I’d say it’s pretty clear they’re intending to spend, hence the Grigg bids.

And where’s this ‘we are selling players to pay off debt’ come from? We’ve sold Maja because he wanted to leave and not sold anyone else so what are you basing that on?

If they spend before the end of the window will you humbly admit you’re wrong in definitively saying ‘that is what is happening’?

Apologies as i agree its contract running down that makes me state its piss poor amount of money. 1.5 mill with add ons, not good enough to me, unless sell on as i mentioned.
There is suppose to be sell on, you think £1.5m upfront raising to £3.5m for a lad that’s played a handful of games in the third tier, had months left on his deal and we’d have got a few hundred k if he’d have left for overseas for nowt in the summer is a bad deal?.

A major factor why We sold maja was so we weren’t left with the small tribunal fee we would get. That was made pretty clear by Donald

I think the investment to buy us was minimal, a myriad of shit to sort out granted but I think they are having lots of fun doing it
We were and still are a massive risk that’s why there weren’t a host of buyers lining up to buy us. If the owners make a nice profit when they sell us then that will mean we’ve been put back on sound footings in either the second tier or even the top tier so I fail to see why people are using this metaphorical situation as a stick to beat the. With, strange it would be a win all round.

Even with the parachute payments we are still losing millions per year.

Replying to
Surplus comes in because we have generated more funds in transfers over the whole period than planned. We also have managed to ensure next seasons parachute money is surplus & at the start it looked as if this would get spent by now based on what the situation was in the summer.

But does that mean surplus to what they planned around still meaning we will be losing money?.

They took their opportunity so fair play if/when they make a profit. Who else was interested in buying us?

Do you feel envious when someone buys a clapped out empty house opposite your own for 50k then sells it for £200k a few years later? Or should you have made an offer and spent time improving the house?
Exactly. 'He who dares wins Rodney' It is amazing how ,many people are though.

Sigh

Ok whatever you say mate

It’s just the praise they are getting off for paying off debts which have lets be honest been paid with the 16 mill we’ve got from selling players short bought

I’m not saying it didn’t need to be done but it’s not been out of their own pocket like people go on. Still short essentially

Probably not. Hence Donald talking about needing to cover some trading losses.
Not sure he is now, saying he reckons the parachute payments will be surplus for next season.
Would be a great achievement if they have got us to breakeven or close to it from next season. Although what happens next will be an even bigger test.

It's a short career and full of risks. Can't blame the lad. We've got threads on the likes of Noble on page one.

Clubs let young players go so quickly these days, it has to cut both ways
