Leaving us when the job's not finished is a shit thing to do.Six decent months then is off at the first opportunity. The lad is nowt but a little rat. Hope to god he fades into obscurity.

Yes it is. Thats a fact like, most of them stay in the under 23 league for years.
I would probably have this mindset when it comes to other clubs/players. But it's our club we're talking about here, so anyone pissed off at him has every right imo.I love Sunderland, but if I was 20 and playing for a city I wasn't from, 250 mile away from my family , and playing in the 3rd league, and I got the opportunity to play in league 1 in France and get paid far more, then I'd do it.
Why do fans always get offended when players want to leave to play at a higher standard for more money.
How dare they leave league 1 Sunderland!
the grass isnt always greener, on the sandy shores of france.genuinely would have wished him all the best and followed what he did with interest but if what he's done is true he can get fucked
absolute piss poor attitude. can't help but think it's all agent driven though and the lad is to thick to make his own choices. like a puppet on a string
It's fuckin ridiculous though as we don't have much of a negotiation position anyway. Now either they offer us amount we are happy with or Maja sits out for the rest of the season not playing a game in one of the most important development periods of his career. Also it has assured that Maja leaves the club on bad terms and hated by the fans. It just makes no sense to me at all but then again I'm not a professional footballer or an agent where it must be compulsory to be an absolute wanker of a human.Maja and his agent are obviously attempting to weaken the club's negotiating position prior to the move.
Just on a separate point & this is a genuine question:
Can anyone remember a club selling their leading scorer in January when they were going for a title & benefiting?
Or even just in general selling the top scorer & playing better second half of season?
Limited data for us but losing Bent & Grabban killed us.
We were forced to sell him really though , otherwise he leaves in June for nothing, he was offered the deal he asked for ,but didn’t sign it ,we’ve just got to move on.Just on a separate point & this is a genuine question:

How do you know he's being paid "far more" than what we've offered?
I don’t blame him moving on, he ain’t a young kid anymore and we are a 3rd tier division club now.
But the way he has left takes the piss, I’d have wished him good luck to be honest.
I’m amazed he scored so many goals but no matter what people think we need to replace them goals and Charlie ain’t guna get them.
£3.5m reported, I’d be amazed if we get that based on his contract here.
Would you walk out on a club before a deal is struck - especially if the club is the one who gave you the career in the first place? Packing his bags before a deal is struck is Ndong/Djillibodji territory and Maja has more to owe the club than those other two sewer rats.I love Sunderland, but if I was 20 and playing for a city I wasn't from, 250 mile away from my family , and playing in the 3rd league, and I got the opportunity to play in league 1 in France and get paid far more, then I'd do it.

To be fair his attitude thinks been spot on could've easily done a rodwell but still kept banging the goals in for us
Ruud van Nistelroy
Except we know his original wage demands / contract were agreed by the club. He then reneged on the deal, his agent did not respect the club either not attending planned meetings or arriving inexcusably late.I love Sunderland, but if I was 20 and playing for a city I wasn't from, 250 mile away from my family , and playing in the 3rd league, and I got the opportunity to play in league 1 in France and get paid far more, then I'd do it.

He’s fucked off packed his belongings without the deal being done man, says it all about the lad. Not sure what the club could do here, stand there ground he doesn’t play and leaves end of the season without playing for nowt, or just get as much in as possible now and use the money to bring in someone?. Clubs in a no win situation, he’s forced there hand.Just on a separate point & this is a genuine question:

Limited data for us but losing Bent & Grabban killed us. Even some of the boys said about losing Bent on the RR podcast. McGeady criticised the manager for getting rid of Grabban on STID.
