has told me Josh Maja has played his last game for . They had hoped they could keep hold of him until the summer but the player took his belongings and said he was leaving. Negotiations are now being pursued with Bordeaux.
 
We'll see what happens, Maja will be a massive miss. If the money we recoup for him is not reinvested, fans will no doubt begin to question the owners.

Yet again we are in a position (through lno fault of the owners) whereby we needed to strengthen but are merely replacing a player. At best we'll sign a player who is as good as but I'm not convinced we will.

No tricks. Looking at Khazri's contract, and subsequent movements, my gut feeling is that the fee for him is probably already paid off. If not, and there is an offset, then that clears a future cash outflow, and would free that up. So the likelihood is that we would have more cash available for incoming transfers irrespective of the structuring of this deal; that is we get less money in, but have less to pay out from earlier deals.

No it doesn't. He'd get more money off a premier league side if he sees his contract up in summer. Out of contract players always get more on open market. A number of young players are going abroad to make a name for themselves now. That's the be all and end all
 
i hope he goes on to be a world beater, as long as we get a %age of it. he's a 20 yr old kid, we can't be held to ransom by these people and their shitehawk agents. unfortunately i think this came just to soon in SD's tenure to affect the outcome, but he will learn from it and be wiser in future.

Probably because it would mean he could stay and they'd have more competition for his signature in the summer. That's the only reason I can think if, unless they are absolutely desperate to sign him and feel he can slot immediately into their side.

Maja just comes across as a ****. Backed his bags and left without anything agreed. What a mercenary.

Should this type of agent be banned or clubs stop working with them, since various reports of this agency getting young lads into good club to get experience then tell them not to sign contract forcing move abroad thus club getting no money back and agent getting big fee.
