I've been one of his biggest supporters and felt we should have kept him till the end of the season even if he left foe peanuts but if this true he can fuck right off like. Although I'm still sceptical until I know exactly where this information has come from mind.

I suspect that there is an accounting trick here but @Grumpy Old Man would have to confirm. Any likely liability with Bordeaux would be due but any outgoing finances for a new player could potentially be amortised in some form over the period. This is particularly effective with the add-ons for Judas. I’m not stating that this is fact as i’m not up to speed with the rules and balance sheet impact.

Barnes has just been on the radio mate, he was adament that no fee had been agreed with Bordeaux and negotiations are ongoing.

By refusing to play for us, Maja effectively weakens our position. It's a horrible trick to play and shows zero respect for the club, manager and fans.

Yeah who knows. But it's not too much a stretch to just imagine the agent saying cmon josh get your shit together we are off to France and you're going to be a very rich boy...

Yeah definitely think they wanted to sell him this window. No other reason to publically declare the deadline. Fair enough setting it privately but making it public was just bizzare. Creates an unnecessary situation. Already been through all this anyways and it was split opinion so yknar.

Ah right. I don't understand why Bordeaux would buy him now when they can get him now on a pre contract & then he's much cheaper in the summer. Seems strange unless they'll be playing him straight away
