Where are all the posters who said Maja was rubbish and did nowt apart from his goals?

Surely they are excited we can now replace him with an all-rounder?

As if to prove my point

You’re becoming a parody of yourself.

How dare you call people out for ‘insulting’ you, and then do the same?

I’ve genuinely never come across anyone like you on here. It’s f***ing weird.

You genuinely can’t accept that someone thinks we shouldn’t sell Maja

It’s not a remotely controversial view

What the fuck is wrong with you? You’re an absolute joke

Sunderland and Maja have been good for one another. We have given him a platform for his first big bucks pro contract and his goals have got us into a good position.

Undoubtedly he is gone, and rightly so. Don’t want players who are not committed and we have a good fee for a player in last months of contract. The money can buy half a team in this league.

I’m pretty convinced that Grigg is in the bag, as the club will have played it that we dont lose Maja without a guaranteed replacement. I can also see another couple coming in. In two months time we will be top, and Maja will be long forgotten. No player bigger than the club.

It's unlikely we're going to find someone with the conversion rate of Maja. If we sign someone like Eaves, or Marquis, or Moore, unless we suddenly start creating two or three times as many chances, we're going to be screwed.

Maja... 15 goals from 33 attempts.
Moore... 13 goals from 61 attempts.
Eaves... 14 goals from 57 attempts.

But that puts him way ahead of the rest of the world with his conversion rate.
The very best strikers and finishers in the world have a conversion rate of about 1 goal from 3 attempts.
He’s probably playing at a level where he is slightly too good for and just on a lucky run of form.
Would I like him to stay and continue that form of course I do, but I don’t think he’s the greatest striker the world has ever seen so I’ll get over it if he leaves.

If the contract isn’t going to be signed and they’re willing to pay just shy of £4m then the club will have to accept.

That would have to be fully reinvested in the team to maintain a promotion campaign.

But you really like the owners yeah?

I don’t think we should be selling Maja it’s a poor short termist move

Why is that controversial?

I wouldn’t agree with that decision if fuckin Monty and Quinn owner the club

I think you know it’s a poor decision hence trying to turn the story on to me

I couldn’t give a shit who the owners are I think it’s a poor decision, it’s got nothing to do with who is in chargec

I'm pretty sure it's only one goal direct from a corner, was mentioned on one of the podcasts a few weeks ago. Maguire at Gillingham iirc. Shocking stat if true like.

Yeah will be. Worked it out afew weeks ago. Don't think we practice them really. Every tine we play it short we don't manage to get it into the box. Poor at free kicks too.

As I say delivery is key and Maguire/McGeadys delivery has been really bad.
