That's Maja's career done then. Lets be honest, it was questionable if he was even going to be able to make the step up to the Championship if we do happen to go up. He's light years away from Ligue 1 level. He has been badly advised by his agent here but the agent will get his commission so won't care.

Anyone, it's hardly the end of the world. Get someone like Grigg in to replace him and we'll be fine. Grigg is a superior player with a far greater track record in the division.

Grigg isn't even on his level. Give Maja 6 year at this level he'd look like a superstar of the league

Given the only solid link at the moment seems to be Bordeaux and any compo would be limited in the summer from them anyway they could have tied it up at anytime now on a Bosman without him being put in the type of limbo he and we would be in if he was waiting for an English club and we'd have got next to nothing. Maybe it would have hotted up later in the window, maybe an PL club would have came in and offered money. For me it's certainly not ideal losing him, but it just needed putting to bed one way or the other .

you cant see it from any other viewpoint other than your bitter, biased and naive opinion. you keep your best players at the club at whatever needs necessary.

We will see anyways. I'll leave this for now see where we're at in 9 days. They need more players that can make the step up though that's for sure. Don't want to get stuck with too many 'good league 1 players'

I’m stating facts, he doesn’t want to play for us, he was offered a contract, he basically along with his agent have taken the piss out of the club. If we wait until the summer we get nothing for him. Dry your eyes, our club is bigger than one player who is unproven in the higher leagues
