I don’t think we are desperate to sell him, if we were desperate to sell him why would we have offered him the contract he asked for. And which other players would you have wanted to keep have not wanted to play for us.

Not losing out if we get promoted. Longer we are in this league the more players we are going to lose moving forward. Think that's pretty obvious. We don't want to stagnate with league 1 talent too, we want young players that can take team forward.

Course it's not. We lost afew lads from our academy going to Liverpool and Arsenal because we are easy pickings in this league for starters. We lost Asoro & we are losing Maja

Iirc McNair wouldn't step foot in Sunderland, Asoro had something happen at club which meant he wanted to leave & McManaman wanted to leave as soon as he heard of wigans interest.
so you are presuming he specifically said he didnt want to play for us again... must be donald and jack ross lying that he said he wanted to stay then.
