Bordeaux and most of French League 1 is Championship standard. He may be OK there, but not convinced that it's a great career move.
We move on.....
Sunderland AFC continues, and so do we the fans.

I think he’s gonna try and score goals there and try get a big move back to the PL imo.

No I don’t blame him. He absolutely has a right to do what he thinks is best for him, in his own and his agents opinions. Wether he’s as good as he and his agent think he is remains to be seen, and will unfold in due course.
Having said this doesn’t mean I have to be happy for him or about the way his agent and himself have conducted themselves.
So from me it’s a big fat fuck you Josh. Which is pretty much what they’ve said to us.

I 100% agree with you in everything you’ve said there. Nailed it. But we move on.

He was. And we should have learnt from our mistakes. For example Honeyman had a clause but Maja didn’t.

He’s evidently trying to better himself and you can’t blame him.

Honeyman had made the breakthrough earlier though and been in and out, signing a two year contract extension with the year option in may 17 after featuring regularly towards the end of that season. Nothing different happened here apart from the financial restraints and new owners coming in at the same sort of point. He's been offered a deal like honeyman was at that point and the club bending over backwards for him, but unlike Honeyman he's not taking it

I CAN blame him and his agent for the at it's panning out though. He asked for a contract, got it and won't sign it. Clearly it's got absolutely nowt to do with the 1k a week you keep mentioning. It'll be lucky if he beats the weekly wage offered here elsewhere, especially in France. His agent will likely make a good fee from it though and Josh will trouser a lump sum, is that really 'bettering himself'?

They got any links to English teams? Wondering if it could be like that Leicester situation where the French team acted as s middle man to save Leicester some cash

When you search lequipe website for Sunderland it says Ellis Short is Chairman and Coleman is manager, and Maja is 1m 80cm; nowt there about a transfer at all, and nowt on their twitter feed either

If I try to be objective about it, think it's a weird move for the player himself. Would totally get him wanting to sign for a Premier League or Bundesliga side or, as much as I hate to say it, someone upwardly mobile like Leeds who'd all no doubt pay him more. French top flight wages aren't huge in those terms and Bordeaux have challenged for the Europa League at best in recent years.

He can fuck right off like. He is no better than half the shit houses who have passed through here the last few year.
His celebration last Sat summed him up. Standing there cupping his ears to our fans, the fans who have supported him the entire time he has been here when nee fucker else had even heard of him or wanted him

Tra Josh
