What's the longest you've went without moving a inch? Just spent 3 hours stuck on a19 tonight just south of Middlesbrough while the emergency services dealt with a lorry fire.

Hardly like it's the middle of summer either when you can get out and stretch your legs in the nice weather. Surprising how just sitting there doing nowt can mentally drain you:lol:

Thankfully no one looks to be seriously hurt.

Heard about that on the radio.

Remember being stuck on the m62 at near standstill so took a back route round to avoid it which was also totally jammed up. Queued for about 2 hours. Didn’t help we were on the way to machnester airport and only just got there in time for our flight. We were checking for other flights fully expecting to miss it.

The driver was taken to hospital with serious burns

6ish hours on A14 between J1 and Catthorpe interchange on way back to Leicester from work in Kettering there'd been a fatality at Catthorpe interchange

That day about 5-6 years back when the sky fell in on Newcastle. Had been to visit my mam at the RVI.
It took 10 hours to get back to Seaham from Newcastle.

About three hours on the A30. Glorious day, got a beach chair out, and was sat in the fast lane reading s book.

Somewhere on the A1 in Cambridgeshire when I was a teenager. That was a hot sunny day. A lorry had caught fire and managed to pull over and set a field of wheat on fire. They closed the A1 while they put the fire out so people had deck chairs out and bairns were playing with bats and balls and stuff on the hard shoulder.

We had the caravan then. My Mam made sandwiches and we had a picnic while we were waiting.

there is absolutely no situation that can't be improved by a mother making sandwiches and tea
