Wasn't wanting a discussion, was just making an observation.Really? Is that the best you can do? Is this what passes for discussion these days? I don’t agree, I don’t conform, therefore I’m an idiot?
Where have I heard this before.
You can change your jumper now.
Denis Smith's task in 88 was equally as tough as Jr's but he carried it off in far better fashion. If i see power and cattermole and Maguire in the starting 11 in that midfield '3' before the Wimbledon game it will be the first time I'll question him to any degree.
He simply has to find a way to play someone upfront with maja, or get honeyman behind maja, or onien in th4 middle with mcgeoch and watmore up top with maja, or 3 at the back and bring Oviedo back in... Something new... don't know exactly what, but that's his job and our current system simply isn't working, and hasn't for the last 2 months, he must be able to see it. Carry on like this and there are a few more defeats coming our way.
For what it's worth, I like the bloke and to get us to 3rd within spitting distance of top is fantastic considering where we were back in June, but the steadying of the team is done, we need to find a way to start dominating
Smiths task was not as difficult he inherited a team that was relegated in a play off game .A team relegated non the less but a team who did have a chance of staying up not like last season we were never going to stop up.I will forever be grateful to Denis Smith ,however he didn't have to put up with the upheaval of new ownership and having to basically cobble a team together in a couple of months .Further more Denis didn't have some of the experts from this forum on his backDenis Smith's task in 88 was equally as tough as Jr's but he carried it off in far better fashion.
Yeah they’re just robots with every move and reaction programmed by the manager.its not the players at all, they play to instructions...
Has anyone called for Ross to be sacked?

No comparison, in my opinion. Ross's circumstances were/are so much more difficult.Denis Smith's task in 88 was equally as tough as Jr's but he carried it off in far better fashion.
That's the more cheerful onesI’m convinced most of this board are manic depressive.

there was no twitter and smb back in '88.
the negativity on here is getting depressing now I'm going to continue with my life I've better to do than listen to the whingers on this forum .I m going to meet up with some lads who like and a bit crack Sunday afternoon you know proper lads who don't look back to 1988This ownership upheaval excuse malarkey is bollocks tho really.
It was sorted out early in the close season and because of it, Ross got the feckin job!!
He had a large portion of the close season to bed in, took all the friendly games and was made aware that some of the players still on the books would be sold.
Much of the shite had already gone by the time he arrived tbf - mainly the loans of which we had a canny few.
I don't think he's had it much tougher than Denis and Viv tbh and whether he can emulate them remains to be seen.
Good for you. Enjoy.the negativity on here is getting depressing now I'm going to continue with my life I've better to do than listen to the whingers on this forum .I m going to meet up with some lads who like and a bit crack Sunday afternoon you know proper lads who don't look back to 1988
So ???
How does that affect things on the pitch.
Smiths football was generally good to watch.
Jr' s is shit.
so what do you suggest? i agree the way he has the team set up, the system he is playing, is doing us no favours, but i don't think this season was ever going to be as pretty and easy as people expected.
the point i was trying to make is that expectancy levels, and pressure from all angles, 24/7 wasn't the same then as it is now
Best keeper in div 1 I would say which is a hell of an improvement on what we had!!!!Thank God he signed a decent keeper or we'd be nowhere near where we currently are.
