I take the view that there would be almost no 97 year olds fit to drive. Even people who are mentally competent etc at that age will have substantially reduced reaction times etc.
More to the point, when he drives he’ll always have a protection officer with him, who presumably isn’t an old gadgie and able to drive properly. Why should the British public be inflicted with an ancient old pensioner driving for no purpose.

He was pulling out of a T junction on his estate onto the A149 when the accident happened.....Clearly pulled infront of a car, which then hit his Range Rover flipping it over. Cant see a way in which this was not his fault given he is pulling off a minor road onto an A road.

The crash was on an A road? I have no problem with him driving around his private land, where no public cars/ pedestrians have access for him to pose a threat to, but clearly that’s not what’s happened here unless I’m missing something?
