Ramsey is playing for a contract, Maja already has offers and maybe a pre-contract offer...why would he risk injury when he holds all the leverage. Two different scenarios with an aging player looking to keep working and a younger player with a number of clubs waiting on him.
He's signed a pre contract for juventus I believe. If not he's leaving arsenal regardless but still playing. Either way, this is modern football and happens every season now somewhere. It doesn't stop them playing those last 6 months was my point. It's far from a situation where it's happening now with us and Maja and hasn't happened somewhere else.

he has said no one has to leave..yes he said we have to get wages to income ratio down..we did..by getting the income up..
they are costs to be be budgeted for..so are part of the budget..but could also play in the league above, theoretically anyway..

Aye we’ve sorted the finances already....not. Do you think any increase in income which we’ve managed has even made a dent in the huge wages we pay? Nope.

If I was SD I wouldn’t have anything to do with Maja’s kernt of an agent again. We don’t want to be dealing with unscrupulous bastards like him at all.

What an absolute tosser if he fucks off to Germany at the end of the season meaning the club get pennies in compensation.
Blame his agent who has manipulated this whole situation. He is the fuckin tosser.

True but Maja has a brain of his own too. The whole world knows agents are poisonous, but that just means players will now easily be able to hide behind them.

The whole deadline / ultimatum thing worked out well then if he's subsequently decided to stay and go for nothing in the summer. Said that was a mistake at the time.

Problem is that at his age he is still very impressionable and easily influenced as he has no “life experience”.
He will believe what his agent tells him as he will be trusting him to do the right thing for him.
Eventually he will learn that the agent actually doesn’t give a fuck about him and that all he is is a money cow to the twat.

Some people on here seem happier with the notion of him signing for a foreign side over an English one, however that would mean we wouldn't be entitled to any compensation. The club deserve some form of recompense for all the effort that has gone into making him such a good footballer at such a young age.

Personally I'd like to see the back of him as quickly as possible if there is little chance remaining of him signing a new deal, so long as we can get a quality replacement in for him. It benefits no-one to have a player who isn't 100% committed to the football club in the squad.

The average attendance for the season is circa 10,000 more than forecast. Roughly £4M net of vat over the season in extra revenue. That should help a bit at least, appreciate its smallish beer compared to the old cost base but its a decent chunk in the cost base we are working towards.

He was only signed in 2016, we will get next to nothing

Maybe but every time a player fucks this club around I just become more disillusioned with the game.

Fall in love with badge not the Fanny inside petal......

There is a compensation mechanism for international transfers. It just pays out less than the domestic one in England.

If he's going to Germany, I'd pack him off to train on his own. It won't do his development any good training by himself for the next 6 months. We may as well learn to live without him. We won't be able to sell him now, unless a good club comes in for him.
I suspect one has done a deal with a German club to get him for a year before he wings his way back to England.
