He has. Its completely irrelevant though.

If im a manager and I think I need 30 sales, and I think each salesman can get10 sales, then im so poor that I chase away two salesmen but the third manages to get thirty sales anyway then I am lucky. Especially if I didnt hire the successful salesman in the first place.

You telling me we can't match that? We can't afford to pay £1m a year to retain a major asset and our top gerl scorer?
He wouldn't even be the highest paid player at the Fookin klerb......

I’m fairly sanguine with it tbh. I know it’s be better to be out of this league as fast as possible but every overspend at one level impacts our ability to spend at the next level. We will get out of the league eventually by function of the size of our club. It’s gonna be harder to get out of the champ imo - and harder still to consolidate in the prem.

I posted a few weeks ago that I’d be very happy to consolidate in the Championship for a good while. It’s a cracking competitive league at the moment with lots of grand old clubs. To be perfectly honest I have little desire to revisit the PL....unless it’s a Burnley-style smash and grab to boost funds and regain parachute payments.

Sends out all the wrong signals. I’m still far from convinced that it’s not just a purple patch he’s on....everything he’s hit has gone in. I remember David Healy doing it for Ireland a few years ago then he reverted to cows arse/banjo mode afterwards.

Say that about any Striker outside the top 6, but for one of his potential, £1m a year is buttons......how much will a 20 gerls a year striker cost?

Wonder how tonight’s crucial Brexit vote might affect the outcome of the Josh Maja saga. Will the German’s sense our weakness if it looks like we’re going to crash out of Europe in a couple of months time?

Exactly, if he gets it that'll set the benchmark for anyone else we bring in and probably some already here will be pushing for parity or near parity. Plus a German side would get him virtually transfer fee free, so there's probably another million or two that they're paying to Maja and his agent in lieu of this which he'd expect us to match. With that money I'm confident we could adequately replace him. Shame if he goes but we can't be getting held to ransom by a kid with a few goals in league one
