Will be like Wyke this one, nothing will happen until the last couple of days of the window.
Wyke signed a month before the Summer window ended. 2/3rds of the way through that window. We're half way through this window already so we'll need to get a shift on.

#SAFC still keen on Will Grigg.
Returned with an increased offer.
On Josh Maja - pretty much as you were.
Jack Ross said post-match on Saturday 'nothing imminent' on incomings but added club were working hard ahead of Scunthorpe game.

Phil Smith posted this on twitter earlier
so will he not play him ? Was he poorly on Saturday ?

I remember this enthusiasm when we were after Wyke ? Is this fella better ?

We paid about 500k for Vaughan and flogged him back to league one for 350k so I imagine the fee will be somewhere between those two figures and, if he fancies it, we'll get him.

Hope so. Like what I’ve seen of Grigg and his record in league one speaks for itself

Probably not a popular view this week, but reckon him & Wyke could form a very dangerous partnership if we’re in a position to play two up top...

Possibly, not a fan of two up top though, we don't have the physicality elsewhere to make it work. Trying to crow bar an extra striker in has generally made us look shit ever since we signed Danny Graham as well!

You’re probably right, it’s why I said “if we’re in a position to”. We’d likely need a physical player with pace & stamina in the middle to make it work these days. Did that Kamara go to Rangers in the end?

I miss the old days of 4-4-2. Football was much simpler then. I loaded the new Football manager for my iPad (hadn’t had time to play in years) and the differing types of styles, players etc now just made my head hurt.

5-1-2-1-1 Vertical tiki taka with a Mezala, Regusta or Ramzuter in there. Sod off

An SAFC fan has tweeted him asking him his opinion of the bid for Grigg (why who knows? the SAFC fan has now deleted his original question), he has given his opinion
He tweets answers to questions about 30 times a day that fella

Why would a Sunderland fan ask him about Grigg? Strange....
Exactly can't call DMcA creepy this time
