Will Grigg's on fire, signed!

Aye, he looks short of championship quality. One footed, no pace, good positional sense seems to be the key for him. Not one for the future. Good record in this division though and seems to get his goals in bursts. Let's hope we catch him in full flood, if he hits one of his 12 in 15 type runs we'll be promoted.
He won't get the game time unless maja goes

Who cares, I don't see him as a viable long term investment. As a loan signing he'd be a good option. We can't sit with our hands in our pockets waiting on a kid and his agent copping the move they're looking for, we have to prepare for all eventualities.

Think Connolly was better like, scored goals at a higher level

Indeed.

He would definitely help us get promoted. Proven goalscorer at this level and would be a great signing in this situation.

Wtf, who am i kidding. Just love the song!

Yep. SD clearly tried to cover himself afterwards.

Really hope we can get this one over the line
its negotiaion..if we are still talking to wigan he has to feign reluctance..

Good signing like just talking about who was better
connolly was brought in to do a job in the championship but was never premier league standard...he did the job he was paud to do..and we didnt use him in the championship..
grigg is being brouhght in to do a job in league one..but sjouldnt be a starter in the championship if we get there..but he can be a useful reserve championship striker..

he has a record of about one in three in the championship..perfectly viable as a sub striker at that levek if we get there..he will get game time this season alongside maja..

A goal or assist in every 253 mins in the championship(9 goals 3 assists)A goal every 338 mins.

So a goal every 4 games for potentially a back up striker for us(if we make it up)

I had a look at some cold hard facts

Charlie Wyke -- Carlisle/Bradford/Sunderland - 134 games / 55 goals - 18 goals per season (46 games)

Will Grigg - MK DOns/Wigan (excl championship) - 127 games / 64 goals - 23 goals per season (46 games)

Both not prolific goals scorers but can certainly put the ball in the net if required ... 18 and 23 goals is a good return for a striker. I think we have been spoiled by only focusing on the return of the world class players.

I don't believe that Maja will sign the new deal. Think Grigg, if he comes, will replace him and Maja will be away before the end of the window.
Trying to buy someone as prolific as Grigg tells me the club must believe Maja is away.

Aye, think the 'Maja is currently taking the offer over with his family' line has been put out there just to make us sound not quite as desperate to bring in a replacement for him. I'll be very surprised if he signs a new deal
