How do the stars rotate anti-clockwise in the northerm hemisphere and clockwise in the southern hemisphere? Watch them worm their way out of that one..
 
I became a flatty when I understood water doesn't conform to the outside of objects especially spinning balls

I cant , just like you cant provide any evidence that water conforms to the exterior of objects , which is strange as 2/3 of the earth is covered in water

IMO it has been introduced on purpose, by who I'm not sure. Any truths are totally lost now amongst things like the flat earth and similar conspiracies.

I am referring to the section titled “You would still be able to see the sun at night” in reply #26. In short, even when the sun was shining in your animation you would be able to see it from anywhere else.

It is brilliant looking at many of their ‘explanations’, because it does not work with even the most basic observations that children can make. Most kids will look up at the sky a few nights in a row before the age of 6 and ask why the moon changes shape. You can’t explain phases of the moon or eclipses with their model. Literally nothing they say works and it is always followed by “I don’t have all the answers but clear your mind, you are brainwashed therefore I am better than you”.

Consider the earth being the centre of the Universe with everything else spinning round it. The further you go out on a spinning disc, the further distance your travel per rotation. If we are static then the universe spins round us in 24 hours, but nothing can travel faster than the speed of light. This means the maximum size of the observable universe can be calculated. It turns out to be roughly what we consider to be the orbit of Jupiter. All those distant galaxies even amateur telescopes can see, all those stars, nebula etc are all relatively close.
