I agree with your point but a lot of 20 year olds can be easily mislead and manipulated. Especially grom people they trust

agents by nature have to be thick skinned and are persuasive people and probable have a very good poker face

young footballers are pretty naïve. they have been cocooned in protectionism and they will not be so streetwise as a 20 year old from the east end or pennywell

Swansea reportedly had a deal for £200k plus extras rejected. Been a few other rumours, but from my reading of the Ayr stuff it seems they would want £400k and up, simply due to the financial boost they would get from promotion.

And he's getting games every week, I'd be absolutely amazed if he get more than 15k a week off anyone else, and he won't be playing in their first team, I think that's a really good offer for him.

Totally agree. Contract could have been turned down behind the scenes and an agreement made to park the whole thing until the summer. Or improve the terms. Or sell him. Why does anybody outside of the discussions need to know what’s going on?
