reported on sky that Maja would be on just under £10k a week. where did that info come from. possibly the same source that told them about the u turn

Ah right. I’d only seen Downie say 7 time on twitter.

That being said though. Why would he tell sky 10k? He could have got 20k p/w off someone but now he’s shown his cards.

As long as it doesn't mean Maguire starts upfront tomorrow

Cattermole, Oviedo and Honeyman all asked to leave at one stage.
Cattermole got dogs abuse at Hartlepool but he’s going to be badly missed for the next 2 games due to his suspension.
Shows how quickly supporters perceptions can change.

Agree he won’t play tomorrow. But had things been handled differently or not within the public domain there is no reason why he couldn’t have played for the rest of the month and beyond, scoring 30+ goals and helping the club to promotion. Who knows, he might then have decided to stay. Complete fuck up by the board. He won’t admit it in public but jack Ross must be fuming at the way it’s been handled
Don't blame us, it was his agent who blabbed to Sky first you numpty

At the end of the day, we can't pay what a premier league club or upper championship club can pay.

If Josh's agent is "doing what is best for his client" which is probably trying to get the largest salary then realistically we aren't going to be able to keep Maja.

All of the other stuff doesn't matter. The deadline, twitter, club loyalty, being top scorer in league one. We can't compete financially with clubs above us in the football period currently.

Who has put it in public domain though? It's his agent who has contacted sky. I don't think personally he has ever had any intention of signing. That is his perogative of course, hopefully club has a replacement lined up.
