hints about his wage on sky I believe. where did that info come from. by Monday a lot more interest will be shown. clubs now know the approx. cost of package. agent may as well of advertised the package in a tv advert

700% doesn’t tell clubs what he was offered though. Makes him look like he wants a fortune. Could be 70k p/w for all they know. If clubs are infested I don’t know why they need to know publicly what he wants. They would just ask? Can’t ever remember seeing it happen before. If it worked like that they would all be at it.

I wonder if him telling Ross he wants to stay and today's events are linked. If that's got back to the agent he might be worried SAFC have talked him into signing as he would lose out on a slice of the fee/signing on fee.

Call Sky Sports, announce he won't be signing, rock the boat with SAFC and try to get other clubs to bid. Given how Asoro's agent went on I wouldn't put it past them.

I wouldn't be surprised if the agent advised Maja to tell Ross he wants to stay in an attempt to take the heat off Maja and put it onto the agent. If Maja wants to sign the contract, there's nothing stopping him.

I honestly cannot see one of the big guns being in for him.

apparently man city have asked to be kept informed of situation.

to be fair, it was always on the cards he was of to Germany, but situation as it is, may offer a chance for that direction to change

Also, the opening speech of the new owners was all about players will only play and stay here if they see their future here.

Well Maja doesn't therefore he shouldn't be considered for section. Unless that statement was utterly pointless.
That should be Ross’s call not the owners. If he’s still in the right frame of mind play him.

Well it seems quite pointless considering Donald has now said he’s going to try to get Maja to change his mind.

I don’t think Oviedo wants to be here either and he’s playing every other week.

You’re probably right but if a Premier league team take a punt and he keeps them up it would be money well spent.
Premier League clubs won't be taking a punt on Maja for first team football this seadse. Longer term perhaps but nobody is rushing to get him to sign in January for that reason.

I’d still be playing him tomorrow
I hope I never see him in our shirt again. I want to watch players who are committed to the club. I also think despite his agent being the root cause of this, Maja is not blameless either. Of course he is our best striker but no one is bigger than the club, especially a young lad with a handful of games behind him. We will get a striker to replace him this window and that striker will get 12 plus goals between now and the end of the season. That player will also be committed to our club.

It's a tough call. His workrate isn't great and with this news out, I can see some of the fans turning very quickly.

I don't have a issue with the workrate BTW just know others call him lazy and such

They do and they sound daft as he's usually scoring. I'd prefer to play our best striker while we have him here, even if it upsets a few of the more precious ones.

We have options at least, but I'd still play him.

Will end up in the U23’s and tumble back down the leagues when proven not good enough for the top level.

If he goes I wish him all the best, he’s given us a good start this season and plenty of reasons to cheer.
Hopefully the Club manage to get a deal sorted which is to our benefit including some sell on clause.

It’s not Maja’s fault that the football world is what it is these days, forty odd years ago he would have been here for a few seasons yet and could have gone into folklore like Rowell
