They can’t expect to just bounce straight back after relegation, should it happen, as many of the previous posts suggest. Last time they sold key players and recouped a lot of the money, they don’t have assets to sell for big money this time. Relegation this time would be a toxic time for the club too, much like ours and they would no doubt appoint a right spanner to replace the Spanish waiter. I think they’ll stay up by a very narrow margin however, which even go to game 38.
Game 38 Fulham away. That would be a superb end to the season reminiscent of shearer at villa

They would get fairly decent money for rondon, shelvey, Ritchie lascelles and the keeper

Mags will be near the bottom three but have enough to survive.

It’s a tough one.

The endless drudgery of staying up every season with a couple of wins all year absolutely kills the fanbase. The older fans pack it in and the younger fans don’t get hooked in the first place unless family
forces them to. However, relegation and failing to get promoted at the first time of asking (which I still don’t reckon would happen) would be a different kettle of fish. Their stadium would be half full and it would make them a very unattractive prospect to new owners with their debt.

Alternatively being a premier league side should give more opportunity for the bastards to fluke a cup final and that’s my worst nightmare.

Hope they stay up. A good few years just scraping survival will do more damage than them going down and (likely) bouncing straight back.

It doesnt sound right but I agree...looking back, we were probably better off going down way earlier than scraping survival. Rafa will probably think he can buy his way out of the bottom half...the only thing is, Ashley is more involved in the money aspect than Short...Ashley could be their savior....

If they stay up it’s a Benitzez miracle
If they go down, it’s an Ashley disaster.
Got it covered, haven't they?

Same on Tuesday, if we win "it's arnly wor kidz, it's a tinpot competition, man"

If we get beat "Hahahahahahahahahahahahaha, wor kidz beat ur forst team, and now we'll treat it seriously"

Huddersfield Fulham and Cardiff for me the mags will always fluke a result when least expected like grinding down manure to boredom to sneak a win

A bloke I work with is one of these who just love the club no matter what, never leaves early, always accentuates the positives, would never boycott a game or owt because he is so scared of missing something. Even he is now asking why he bothers. Says he now finds it a chore leaving the bar before the game, and can't wait for it to end.
People are bored with it all.
Said it many times before, but its just dull making up the numbers and not even trying to show any ambition other than surviving

Hmmmmmmm!
Sure I've come across this sentiment before somewhere. . .
