Nonsense. I paid £10 full whack last time round having missed the early bird deadline. This is the same competition. We made 9 changes. The quality was dire. We are playing an under 21 team in this round. These ticket prices represent a 500% increase, it’s shocking and it is our owners milking a cash cow.

Had Short been in charge and done this there’d be very few supporting the decision. However, barely any decision can be criticised with the current regime.
yes we played a reserve team in the last round, but this is a local derby. You people want better players to sign, turnover needs to rise, and that means more money hrough the gate. This will be a firt team game for sunderland, and newcastle will put out the stringest team they can, because its a derby.

Sunderland are small time as fuck if they cant sell tickets for £15.

500% increase from the last game mate

Not great like. Spin it as much as you want. If Bain has done that...christ

Absolutely spot on mate.

A 500% price increase to maximise income from supporters knowing they’ll pay it given the opposition is poor form. Almost parasitic some might say

parasites take money out mate..owners are putting thousands a week in. There is no cash cow. £15 for our first team playing in a local derby is fuck all. I rthought sunderland were supposed to be a big club? If I had paid £40m for a club whose fans wont pay £15 for a first team gane, Id be checking if I had kept the receitp.

It is a diluted, embarrassment of a local derby for us in a third rate competition that won’t have anywhere near the same level of meaning as a genuine first team derby. If you think it is, you are wrong. Not just a little bit wrong, absolutely wrong.

And if the argument is that we pay to support Sunderland, then we should be paying the same that we paid to support Sunderland in the last home fixture of this very competition.

how about you pay the same anmount you paud the last time sunderland played a premier league game?
This may not be the same as a league derby, but the fact that newcastle can sell 5k of tickets indicates demand is very high, is as high as it would be for a derby against them normally. Thats just supply and demand.

Don’t know who you are, what you’re involvement in the club is or whatever. But some of us have been supporting this club a lot longer than you have and have invested a hell of a lot of money in this club.

No we aren't

People who weren’t prepared to go to the £3 games now fuming because this one isnt £3

And how do you know how long anyone has supported the club?:lol:

We had a price structure in place for different category games last time we were in the top flight. Prices weren’t hiked 500% from a home game against Swansea in the same competition for example.

You’re exactly right. It’s supply and demand. And supporters are being fleeced.

Simple answer? He has said previously.

And for the record... I paid £10 for the previous £3 game. Not sure where that fits in to your ill thought out equation

How do you know its longer if you dont know who they are?

The longer time spent supporting a club doesnt make an opinion more valid

Mergs requested 5,000 tickets for a competition or team they don't care about.....

And we get hammered for Policing costs for the Orks big day out.....
But,but they aren’t bothered about it Hairy, it’s a non game in a Mickey Mouse competition. They’ve made that clear since the draw was made. So why they want all them tickets is a mystery to me.

supporters cant be fleeced in a situation where supply and demand principals are being appied. Stewart knows he can sell 5k of tickets straight away to people happy to pay the money. And as that 5k of demand comes from people who are paying it to watch their reserve team, he thinks demand from people getting to see their first team at the same price would be more than 5k, and it will be. If the measure you apply is how much you have put in, your way behind what the owners have put in, if you want agood football team competing at a higher level, pay for it, the owners want that, thats why they are putting thousands a week in.
