Why would nufc fans be bothering?

You have no interest in third division football, yet now thousands would like to come

The rabble will be there and they won’t be the idiot kids. Itll be the morons aged around forty, keegan era mob
I will be 42 by then, and therefore meet your criteria to attend.

It is an utterly ridiculous competition, and you are correct, I have little interest in it.

That said, I can walk to your ground in about 15 mins from my house. Will stop off for a few pints on the way, and probably enjoy the night, knowing that I am not particularly bothered about the result. I am therefore most likely to be going.

What are you doing living near the SOL?

I would just not allow away fans, and keep the home fans to purchase history only. Maybe even season ticket holders only to be sure of no mags turning up.

If it was at SJP then i'd be shocked if they would let us turn up.

It cannot be that ridiculous if you want the Newcastle support limited to a few thousand which you stated in your previous post

Wise Men Say podcast embarassaing themselves on Twitter implying they want it played behind closed doors.

Fuck me that is embarrassing. If they can't even police a game against the mags kids team then we'll never be able to have fans at a first team derby again! We might need to raise prices a bit to cover extra policing, might need to cap away tickets as @Sir Tasker says to prevent the daft 17 year old bellend brigade turning up in as many numbers (the ones they normally cause any bother in these fixtures), but no way is there any argument for playing it behind closed doors ffs. I wouldn't even support an away fan ban, never mind a complete ban!

strange one this from my point of view

i want to go and support our kids against you lot as i do for the first team and reserve fixtures but know they are going to get hammered which wont be nice viewing

I've not been around the board much lately so apologies if it's been said already but when are tickets being released for this game? I'm sure the owners were delighted with this draw - a huge crowd for when a small crowd would usually be the norm for this round.

No one knows yet the club will still be in discussions with NP. The bill from NP may cancel out any bonus we get from a decent crowd.

Then why did your club enter them. They could get hammered off any team.

Granted I know nothing about the tournament or the level of 1st division / u21s. But surely they must be relatively even in level hence what’s the point of letting reserves in.
