My point has never been about where you are or the relevance of this cup mate.

In a nutshell, I’m saying that as a one off game, it’s not a derby and no fan from either side should treat it as such.

But you still couldn't resist a dig?

Wise Men Say podcast embarassaing themselves on Twitter implying they want it played behind closed doors.

From a Newcastle perspective. I just hope that the away allocation is capped at a few thousand. This meaning that only those with the required loyalty points get tickets. I don't want the school age Stone Island clad rabble there.

Should just ban away fans. Purchase history only. They took less than 100 to their last away game in this competition, they clearly aren't bothered about it.

We could have got Man City U21's away, played a youth team and gone out and nobody would have noticed. This pretty much forces us to take it seriously for at least another round.

I know this probably doesn't matter but all Man City U21 games in this competition have been agreed to be played away from home, even if they are / were drawn at home. Don't know why like.

Because they're more important than any other club?

Got to bend ower backwards for these

Why would nufc fans be bothering?

You have no interest in third division football, yet now thousands would like to come

The rabble will be there and they won’t be the idiot kids. Itll be the morons aged around forty, keegan era mob

Behind close doors is silly, but people are being naive if they believe it will be treated as a normal derby.

The reality is; it costs a fortune to police a Wear/Tyne derby and I can’t see either club agreeing to the normal spend. Although unpopular on here, I’d just ban away fans and then not have a general sale for Sunderland fans.

Still pencilled in for Tuesday the 8th.

I imagine we are still in talks with NP about this game.

We might hear something late this week, although, don’t be surprised if it rumbled into next
