Can relationships work with large differences in age?

I'm 42 and 10 years older than my gf (no pics) and feel that is probably the limit of what can work.

The difference is mainly small things like cultural references, things you remember from growing up.

But there's also inter-generarional differences in attitudes (Gen X v milllenial) that crop up every now and then. Nothing major, but definate differences that take some adjusting to.

I know some people do it, but I just can't imagine being with someone where the age difference is bigger, and especially anyone younger than 30. Would feel a bit wrong and just cant imagine having much in common.

Interested if anyone else as got experiences of similar or bigger age differences?
Similar difference between myself and the Yankette - I'm 44, she's 34.

Mind most of the attitude differences and cultural references are more readily explained by growing up on different continents in our case.

13 years between me and Mrs S and it works great for us. The very first time I met her dad it was a little frosty but when we got to know each other more all was perfectly fine. Have our young daughter in our lives now and it's as perfect as we could have imagined.

Forget numbers it's about people.
Aye she's in charge though ;)

Double your age minus 14.....

Not having that like, I'm 46 and nee way would I hump a 78 year old.

My mam and dad been together since they were 15 and 14, my dad is 69 (wahey) next year.

6 Years between me and our lass. I often get confused as a toy boy however due to my youthful looks and charm.

Less than 3 years between me and my Doris.

I know a lass who married her husband in her late teens and he was well into his 30s. They're still together mind.
A lass my Mrs works who isn't quite 40 yet married a bloke who'd hit state pension a couple of years back. He's a nice chap.

If she was in her 20s and he was in his 40s then maybe there wouldn't be so many eyebrows raised, but late teens and 30s is a bit odd

Well aye, he's got all that "life" experience out of the way and then wed a teenager.
Strange to me but as I say they're still together as far as I know and she''ll be 40 ish now.
