They only lost yesterday because West Ham spent more (copyright Rafa 2018)

A bit like when big spending Cardiff beat paupers Wolves the night before, or that famous cup game where that expensively assembled Hereford United team beat another United:lol:

Never saw that result coming at all as west ham have been folding at Newcastle for feckin years.
Can see Everton doing them, but wolves h hfield a and fulham h should sadly give the mags a happy christmas.
Owt less than 6 points and theyll need a good window in January to extricate themselves from the relegation mire.

:lol::lol:
As Bob says to Vic " you just wouldnt let it lie "

I could've let it lie ....

I had radio 5 on and and they were previewing the mags game and a journo was taking about Rafa's 'tactical masterpiece' at Burnley (those were the exact words used). If he is such a tactical genuis how can he not do better than 0-3 at home to a team who have recently drew with Huddersfield and lost to Brighton.

You can tell his an experienced manager as he never takes any blame at all.

Whilst I truly believe Rafa Benitez is past his sell by date, no one can deny that he has a very decent CV.
Valencia was probably where he did his best work - tho some with an agenda will claim Hector Cuper built the foundations which is being a bit disingenuous. Winning La liga when you have Barcelona and RM as your rivals was a superb achievement.
Yes, he got a tad lucky in winning the EC, both in the build up and in the final, but he still won it.
Whether we like it or not, players revere managers with great cvs and this plus his aura and coaching ability(top players like Gerrard and Carragher have clearly said he's a top coach despite not particularly liking him due to his cold attitude) will see him guide a very average squad to safety, without question.
Those who say theyd prefer him to stay are talking nonsense if they truly want relegation for our brothers up the road.

I've no doubt he's a decent manager.

However, he never misses a chance to demoralise his strikers .... possibly why they miss so many chances.

He did it again on MOTD and actually grinned as he said it.

Perez looks shot to pieces and the teams confidence is very fragile.

There doesn't seem to be much battle in them, the most important thing in a relegation dogfight.

Cardiff have a very poor squad but Warnock is full of praise and managing to dig out some results against all odds.

When it becomes known that Benitez will leave, at the end of the season, I think the team will falter unlike the end of the last one.

Those who didn’t join in with the protests have brought shame on both Newcastle United Football Club and Rafael Benitez. You were the reason we got beat today, and the reason we will continue to get beat under Ashley’s ownership. Worse than Mackems
Christ almighty the bloke is f***ing tragic :oops::oops::oops::oops::oops::oops::oops::oops::oops:

Heads gone

Before he composed that you can see he was desperately thinking "ok I'm tweeting about something in no way connected to the club I'm obsessed with but how do I include them ?"

Surely they already know hes likely to go ?
Tbf, they battled hard at Burnley and worked hard to get thd 2 wins before that.
Maybe the unrest is affecting them but I still cant see them going down under his leadership.
