Roughest pub in sunderland

Just reopened by the lad who has Joseph's and had the Butcher's Arms.

Was in on Friday when it opened, it's spot on and not even finished yet. Only had a pint which was of sufficient quality. Will defo be back as it's pretty local for me.
Is it just your run of the mill beers, fosters, John smiths etc?

Went in once cos my mate needed a piss. We walked in, I went to the bar, he walked in the direction of the toilet but got halfway there, did a U-turn and walked straight back towards me shaking his head and we walked out. He never broke stride .
What was the reason for this?

I some how don’t think the clientele of the fort are ready for craft or real ales.
Don't speak too soon. With it being open brand new there might be a decent crowd gets in. I am certainly not a Joseph's drinker (my hair is far too nice for a start) but I like the place, I'm likely going to be sorting some live music for the place too at some point and the crowd's we bring are decent music people.

Good luck marra.

Its exactly the same if not worse all over the country, its not just a Sunderland thing....

Report came out earlier in the week that said, although the number of pubs is declining, the number of people employed in the industry is rising.

Its down to 2 or 3 local clubs closing being replaced by one big weatherrspoons or such like, which actually employ more staff.
