perhaps should have added; ooooh Im craping me pants about Sunderland becoming a major club / MAG / WUM

You are certainly one of them.

Thankfully Bob Murray and the new owners will have a bit more vision than people like you.
Well i was certainly loving celebrating our last minute goal at Walsall yesterday.

Argument lost - call someone a mag.

Fair play great support.

Grow some bollocks man. This clubs potential has never been truly tapped for 60 plus years. If it is we would be mad not to build the club both physically and numerically.

I'm a Sunderland fan because I got a chance to go to roker park. I got lucky. As mr methven has said we need to win the heartlands back.

Get a winning team in the premiership go down the German route, let kids in for bext to nowt and we have laid the foundations of a successful club for decades to come.

Given our untapped fan base, space around the sol and the opportunity to build cheaply it's more of a risk not doing it as we just become a n other club.

Always a good idea to pay back a significant debt by reducing your potential income.

Spending £xm on upgrading your stadium and then dropping ticket prices (with no guarantee it will increase revenue) is bananas.

Im sure the club will eventually get back to the top flight and think about it then. Why are people even talking about this while we're in the 3rd division?

Whats the point? We'd probably have been better keeping it at 42k in hindsight
I think It's about the right size for a PL club if we get there.

We disagree on this mate, which is fine, the world would be a boring place if we agreed with each other on everything. This will be my last post on this as we are going round in circles.

The "German model" that you keep referencing appears to consist of cheap tickets, particulalrly for kids, which will take care of any capacity increase. We already have extremely cheap tickets for kids and have 18,000 empty seats. There really isn't too much more we can do there.

The priority now must be the team, get that back up the leagues, and get the whole ground opened up.

Lets just look at this in a little more detail, its all about opinions and different points of view.

You are stating we have 18000 empty seats but (and I dont really agree with this as I believe you support your club through thick and thin) we are 2 leagues in the wrong direction but having the worst league form in the last 10 years from 92 clubs has got to take its toll. Having an average 30000 average in this division is good but the great thing about this season if we keep as we are, we are getting a generation of support back, winning games week after week no matter what league you are in will bring non attenders back as well as all the new support born in the last 15 years or so. This is a building platform as our PR team are working endlessly to bring the once sunderland supporting regions back to support the team that their grandparents and great grand parents once did.

Not too long ago we had average 46000+ average seasons by finishing 7th. Teams like necastle have got their support in the nineties by continually qualifying for europ by guess what....winning more games than they lose. Fair play to them that they have stuck with their team but its a little bit under duress tbh.

In a nutshell the support is there to fill 66000 without a doubt
