Gigs back at sol

Seen a couple of posts on the muse Facebook saying Sunderland to be announced and more dates to come
Seeing the how they’ve announced the entire world dates for the tour, I’m not sure why they’d not announce ones like Sunderland? Apparently Bristol was going to be announced but never came to pass. The only two I’m dated are 7 days apart so plenty of room for more though.

They are taking part in a stadium tour in 2019 and one of the venues is Sunderland, so must be the SOL.

Only 4 of them though, because Victoria Beckham is taking part.

Some of the mag comments on the chronicle Facebook page are beyond embarrasing.

Here we have a high profile gig that will be beneficial to the region. Yet you won't see commendations from the Newcastle-centric brigade. Anything that's remotely beneficial for Sunderland simply drops out of the "north-east" tag and subsequently provokes negative comments about Sunderland from their readers.
It really shows how self-centred they are and when they talk about "north-east benefits" it's just a guise to mean Newcastle benefits.
The south of the Tyne authorities should be glad they're no longer in an unholy trinity with them

They really don't pass up an opportunity to have a go.

We are their world.

It’s just bizarre mate. There was one stupid bint who commented “why always Sunderland? It’s so annoying”. Ffs, we are 20 mins away on the Metro

A huge number of them, and there are a few on this thread, also fail to accept SJP can not stage big shows. They seem to think it’s either Ashely’s fault :)lol:) or we under cut them.

Totally agree. I also cannot wait for the usual metro strike

Honestly a huge hats off to Charlie and Stewart. This is a huge coup for the city and the club alike, it’s really uplifting, it breathes importance and relevance into the city. You can see their support for the area and its spirit. The fact Short and Bain scrapped the concerts was a horrible, depressing decision.
