@cluffy @bedlington mackem

Gig news of the year just announced. KISS to play Metro Radio Arena on 14th July.

Can`t wait.

ah good news Mick! I will have to go . Which will be my 5th time
1st time Wembly Arena - Unmasked tour 1980 ( 2nd row !!! )
2nd time Finsbury Park - Reunion tour
3rd time Castle Donington MOR a year after Finsbury iirc
4th time Metro radio arena - Sonic Boom tour ( with wife and daughter in tow )

It was always a show with kiss. Never owned an album but I do fancy seeing them. It will be funny.

they have always been entertaining. Their "show" is no longer the benchmark and has been in some cases overtaken as a spectacle eg by Rammstein to name one.....however whether you like them or not you have to give them credit for pioneering the way rock shows are staged today and for being one of the most iconic bands of all time. If you go expecting to see a bombastic rock show you wont be disappointed

Had a ticket for the last tour, for Manchester, but on the day remembered they were pretty poor time before that, so didn't bother going...80 quid or so down the dilly.

Paul's voice been shot for years, so reckon a bit lip-syncing going on now...possibly.

Put on a good "show" but image looking a bit "past it" now

To be frank, preferred them when they took make-up off
If he was lip syncing I would expect him to sound better than he sounds now,I've been a fan since the 70s and he sounds terrible.

I`d love to see a major setlist shake up. Although I love those songs, they have loads more I`d like to hear before they go. When they did Flaming Youth last year I nearly fell of my seat:lol:.
I saw them at a warm up show at Islington Academy with 500 people there,. They had the full gear on and the huge logo on a tiny stage. I was hoping for a real, fans, rarities set, but they did the same show that they did on the Arena tour. I suppose it was a warm up for that but they could have thrown their hard core fans a nugget here or there.....The Oath, I Stole Your Love or I Want You or even Room Service or something like that.
Paul Stanley can't sing those songs anymore, his voice is shot to pieces.

Flaming Youth is my favourite Kiss song.

I saw them last time in Newcastle to tick it off my bucket list, rather enjoyed the second half of the show. Not sure if I can justify the cash this time.

Musical Theatre darling

...but without the theatre or the music.

;)

Just got tickets for Newcastle and Manchester. Band that really got me into music and one of the best live bands I’ve ever seen. Put on a proper show and if you like the music all the better.

People can scoff and KISS are a money machine but after 45 years they still do it.

After the tour highly likely they’ll end up in a 3 year Vegas residency before KISS 2 is born!

When people talk about a gig as 'a great show' its clear society has taken a wrong turn.

Going to gigs is more about just the music, who the fuck wants to stand and watch someone play in a big arena and simply go through the albums, smaller venues maybes, but certainly not larger shows.

If you want to see a 'show' go to the theatre you big pansy.:lol:
