And a Paul Smith wool overcoat which was about £300.

Have had a couple of Barbour wax jackets of the years but they not very warm , and pretty common now, the quilted ones are awful IMO . Still got a wax Barbour Harrington that does it’s job well .

Need to get a winter jacket sorted though @mini-x2

I’ve got a brilliant Barbour Explorer down jacket... amongst others.

The old School Barbour Endurance with Hood made of Ventile is a quality bit of kit. Always fetches decent money on ebay

Just purchased a Superdry parka today. Lovely and warm and hopefully a bargain that will last years. £140 but my pal works for them so he got me 50% staff discount. My current Lyle and Scott coat is simply too thin. Doesn’t keep you very warm.

Got this Shoreman and it is quality. Warm and dry which is pretty much what you want with a winter coat. You can remove the lining if it gets a bit warmer.

This one's getting a few more run outs now that I've lost a couple of clem. It was a tad snug before.

Also got a more classic looking one that is lined and has a concealed hood that is my everyday one.

Bought a Canada Goose arctic program for hill walking on skye. I forget what its like to be cold so i thought id get a good jacket. Far too hot you have to take it off then your freezing. A good jacket if you happen to come across someone suffering from hypothermia

A lot of the Canada Goose gear is designed to be good down to -15 to -20 C, even if you're just standing around (like on a film set). People wearing them to walk around Sunderland :D. Can just imagine the sweat pouring off.

Can’t understand people who buy a down jacket WITHOUT a hood.

I hate hoods, they're annoying so my down jacket doesn't have a hood. Got hats instead.
