Given that all mags seem to bang on about is net spend I thought I’d talk in a meaningless stat you’d understand.

Also if we’re “buying the title” then presumably that means the player we bought for £600k must be tearing up the league yes?

Don’t worry though - I’d be concerned if our manager spent £128 million and ended up relegating us twice as well.

Like previously mentioned, this is pure gross although it's interesting to see net spend (and outgoings) given some credibility when it suits.

Not sure if he is tearing up the league or not but my point (and over the last three years since we spent what we did in the Championship) is that spending money doesn't guarantee success. But it is a bit daft to lament us for buying the league a few years back and not a peep is said when you are outmuscling your rivals to an even greater extent this season.

You must have misunderstood my post because I am not and cannot ever envisage being in your corner. As for football knowledge, there are many on here more knowledgeable than me, no one on here as arrogant as you.
Don't forget I was watching Sunderland AFC while you were swimming around in your Dad's bollocks.
Not a great achievement in all fairness.

If it comes to checking the quality of catering around the grounds in England I’ll be sure to tap into your knowledge though.

You look like a man who knows his pastries.

Look you f***ing idiot has your manager bought players and picked teams that has won 1 in 15 ? 16 if you want to including the 3-1 drubbing at championship Forest in the cup

Get out out of his fat arse lad yous are too busy hating Ashley to realise the world class gaffa is sleep walking yous to the championship

You've never seen me. Your arrogance knows no bounds.

When the fuck did the word net spend become thing

Honestly it’s one reason I struggle to watch or listen to the modern shite

Can anyone remember peter reid’s “net spend” because I fuckin can’t

So if spending money doesn’t guarantee success then why are your lot shouting at shops when all Ashley and Rafa have done is, er, spend money?

Also criticising a club for spending £800k when you’re protesting because you’ve only spent £128 million looks a bit tragic. But then given the number of mags at our games you’ll be used to that.

If you sell a player for 50 million quid and then spend it on players, you’ve still fuckin spent 50 million quid

Sky.

It’s an irrelevant concept because players aren’t paid for in one lump but payments are split over the length of the contract. Doesn’t stop thick mags banging on about it though.

I agree but so drove me insane fans protesting short for supposedly not spending enough

We've spent £128m this summer? Not sure why you'd comparing spending across two different periods if that isn't the case?

As I said earlier

You’ve wasted the money you were given, what makes you think you should give him even more

It’s exactly what Sunderland did

I don't do pastries mate got a hiaitus hernia. Sorry about that.
Mind, I have seen you, you look like a long piece of piss that couldn't stand up in a strong wind.
Holidays in just over a week I’m in prime shape.
You’re the sort of bloke who I’d kick sand in their face.

He’s spent £128m.
Out of all that who’s value has gone up?
