No, not really just when Newcastle was mentioned, there seemed to be moans and a few jeers.... It was primarily an event held in Gatehead for all like minded people in the North East about politics but those.(the term used) over the water didn't recieve any plaudits shall we say. In fact, the mag land was only mentioned by name around three times in 2 hours

I worked in Newcastle for about 20 years. In one office, the cleaners were from Gateshead. Got cracking on to them & over time they divulge stuff. One - a bloke - had a brother. The cleaner was solid SAFC, his brother was a mag. Their Da was old school: taking them to both, on alternate Saturdays. The brothers regularly came to blows over footy.
I'm no politician but I imagine Newcastle has mopped up a lot of funding, grants etc. over the years, to the detriment of Gateshead. Similar with us really, but Gateshead may feel it more acutely given their close proximity.
