Putting your toaster away when not using it

Weird one this...

I’ve gone through life believing everyone just leaves their toaster out on the kitchen work surfaces at all times.

Over the last few days I’ve found out that two people put theirs away when they’re finished using it.

Are these people just freaks or does anyone else do this?
Living alone mine was always out on the bench, when our lass moved in, she purchased a tray and it sits on that in a cupboard and is brought out when needed.

The tray doesn’t half stop all the crumbs mind! Possibly one of the most useful things the wife has introduced to my life.

Weirdos, just like the freaks that bother to put their plates in cupboards and cutlery in drawers. Just leave them on the bench, you're gunna use them soon anyway!

I’m not averse to crumb protection, mine sits on a decorative chopping board.

Microwave on left above oven, toaster and coffee machine under slidy up shutter thingy on right. nice uncluttered worktop.

Pria de luz?
Is your kitchen inside a cupboard?!?!

What’s the point of having flat surfaces if not to put things on?

Just to freak the OCD posters out..

I'm impressed that you were able to modify your computer desk into a kitchen

And why in the name of fuck is their a bath towel in the kitchen?!?!

mine's stuck in the corner. plenty of space, so not a big issue.
Now that's a kitchen. Very nice. I like to cook so I'm a fan of big open kitchens with lots of counter space.

I'm not a fan of the heart art made with blood, though. Serial killer much?

Thanks, designed it myself. Knocked two rooms into one which was a right faff as all the kitcheny type stuff in what was the dining room, so plumbing and gas n that all had to be re-routed. What was the kitchen is more for eating and access to and from the garden - along with a bank of units for utility type stuff (washer, dryer, boiler)

It looks great. Honestly, that's a kitchen that just inspires you to cook. Great job with that.

The old gentoo one was rank. Black worktops and brown cupboard doors, one little window. Wasn't very inspiring at all.

Nowadays, I look forward to getting home and making tea. Sunday dinners are a dream to make, now. Got a TV with a sound bar on the wall just out of shot so I can watch the Grand Prix or the footy while I'm doing my stuff. Just fitted some LED lights around the pelmet, too.
