At the risk of a Smug savaging, can I just say that you'll be hard pushed to find a single fan who believes we're on the verge of greatness. We're shit, and the vast majority of our level headed fans know it.
But supporting your team isn't about winning things, it's the love for your club through thick and thin. If we didn't believe that, most football fans might as well rap in now.
I'll be at OT Saturday in hope we can avoid a severe beating.

Hi mate, only talking about the likes of those standing out in the cold last night, I know there are decent normal supporters like yourself.

What I mean is that many think it's only the lack of a shiny new owner, like Staveley, that's holding the club back from greatness.

The reality is that Newcastle have spent big before and still come up short, as you know.

Enjoy your trip to OT, the attention will all be on Mourinho so you might sneak something.

Ha! Aye, haven't seen him for a while. His bus was legendary, yet most of the "boys" will be well into their sixties now. Saying that, many opposing fans would think twice.
 
I hate the mags, however, I have not taken the piss out of them for sometime given that we are current,y two leagues below them.
I watch with a smile on my face at their antics and struggle to understand why some of the mag wankers who frequent here do so.
Next season we will be in the same league as them and normal service will resume.

Probably about the same, the time to talk is at the end of the season, we have had the worst start in our history and you lot are on course for the lowest finish in your history.Sobering though for us both.
