His pre-season antics have majorly hindered his team's performances. He basically told anyone who would listen that his players were shite and he needed other ones. So rather than keeping a close knit, committed group of players together and content to make a fist of it this season he decided to play politics knowing full well the mug supporters wouldn't direct the ire his way. Basically, he has been like David Moyes was here two years back. Spineless and self-preservationist.

The criticism has finally started to arrive and its long overdue. He took the job knowing full well what Ashley was like. He's a mug if he thought Ashley was going to change his entire football club philosophy. No-one should have any sympathy for him whatsoever. The work he has done at Newcastle is nowhere near worthy of the credit that is sent his way by the media and it is simply because he is Rafa Benitez. Crawly as fuck

Ashley is a very good owner just not ambitious.

When they were making profits he backed McClaren and they spent about 80m and got relegated. Not satisfied with that he gave a good manager 5m a season kept him, give him a premier league wage budget and 60m to spend. Then on promotion gave that manager 45m to spend and despite posting huge losses allowed that manager to spend more than a club in Europe with no debt.

Yet their fans complain just sums up how pathetic the Anti Ashley vendetta is.
He certainly done a better job than Ellis did, and I hold anything against Mr Short it is fact.

I've said it for a very long time, he's just taking the piss but the daft knackers are too blind to see it and Rafa knows he can play the fans easily. I'd love to see him take them down again

NUFC fan: "Any fan that says, Rafa should put up and make the best of what he’s got. Would you say the same thing walking into your local hospital with a Doctor with a medical kit from the 18th century, would you still say, howay Doc, do the best with what you’ve got "

Has someone genuinely said this? What money Benitez has had has been poorly spent. And he has likely alienated a squad that seemingly had a good spirit last season in order to play politics. Its ridiculous how so few of them can see that

Shaun dyche did ok last season with a squad poorer than the mags

The whole #ifrafagans 'movement' have backed themselves into a corner so much now that they would rather go down and blame Ashley than point any finger at the huge f***ing elephant at St James' that is Rafa.

Blindly refusing to place any blame at his door. Yes he hasn't been backed, if Newcastle go down there would be a few to blame, Ashley, the players and yes Rafa but they cant see that. Everything is Ashley's fault, they try to stifle any debate, any pundit or fan that does stick their head above the parapet is instantly shot down and labelled a heretic or an Ashley stooge.

Whilst I agree there is more important things than spending money, I will pass on the get relegated to League One model thanks.
The way you the fans are going on with your shouting at shops and mass protests will do nothing to help your plight, All it will do is turn the atmosphere toxic if it already hasn't!
You will do very well to stay up this season in my opinion!

You're correct about the atmosphere, I'm sure last season after Christmas they called a truce to concentrate on supporting the team, surprisingly the results changed around this time and kept them up
