She's already being compared to Janis Joplin!


I think she's amazing!

A great voice (which will only get bettet), good presentation and remarkable stage presence.

I very much doubt it. She has a cracking Joplin style voice even if she does go over the top with it, but she's just a mimic. I mean, good luck to her and all but these things rarely work out. There was a child guitar prodigy from Newcastle a couple of decades back who was going to do all sorts - had his own little spot at Donnington - ended up working in a guitar shop.
 
All depends if they can get someone to write her some decent songs.

I hope she's enjoying it and not getting bogged down with expectation.
 
There's a young lass who works in my place on a weekend, she's same age just gone into year 10 and I think she's better. Her parents just haven't pushed her as much or put her in the public eye.

Thomas McLaughlin. Think he still does bits and bobs as well as the shop. Saw him on stage with Steve Vai and Joe Satriani at the City Hall
 
Finished 6th on Americas Got Talent
Think she's going to appear with Shin Lim in Vegas
 
She's canny like and think she'll have a couple of good years on the back of talent shows but don't think she will be a superstar.
 
She came 6th.
Canny voice for a 13 year old and a great stage presence but needs to mature for that style of singing.
Hope she keeps it going though.
 
I agree with what's been said. She has a talent for copying other artists like Jane Horrocks in the film Little Voice.

On stage, it looks like she's possessed with those jerky dance moves which makes for interesting viewing.

One thing that suggests she might be a success long time was the expression on Simon Cowell's face - his chubby little pyatt postively lit up.
