He's to flakey to bat 3
Think this aswell, Reckon Jennings will be playing v Sri Lanka cant see them picking 2 new openers for the first Sri Lanka test.He will go to Sri Lanka
not saying he should, but he will
How is he good against spin he doesn't normally last long enough for us to knowWe are going to Sri Lanka next like
Got a source for that? Or just guessing?
There’s no way Cook would have been dropped regardless IMO.
About as much source as you have to say he would have played.
It's a reasonable punt given he was averaging 18 for the series, it's a dead rubber at Burns and Stoneman's home ground, both openers were failing and there's a pressing need to try out other options.
Good to see Ali playing patiently. Not sure he will trouble the scorers for long though.

Cook's replacement should be playing here, whoever that may be. Instead of Jennings or at 3.
Australia will be creaming themselves at the thought of Jennings opening.
Whether we win or get bowled out here, the penny has dropped, taking their time
Also why is Cook retiring man
Not sure its just that - also this is a f***ing slow, docile pitch. Getting off square isn't easy.
True, but Buttler and Stokes tried last game. Remember most pitches around the world are like this.
Yes, its an excellent test in that respect.
But it's f***ing dire as a spectacle and the Oval keeps doing it. It's a pet hate of mine - but I'd like to see its guaranteed slot taken away and given to Edgbaston, which is basically our Brisbane, produces entertaining matches almost without fail and much more accessible for the rest of the country.
Can't have it both ways, people moan when we produce normal English style wickets.
I don't.
Who does?
I f***ing love test cricket when it has something for the bowlers in it. What makes England best place to watch test cricket in the world, generally.
