And Benitez couldn’t get the best out of him.

More ‘net spend’ money on players Rafa didn’t sign. Wijnaldum, Sissoko, Mitrovic... ;)

He’s certainly reinvested a decent wedge of money in his few years with you
Is that something like £80m worth of talent that Rafa couldn't get the best out of?

Hardly.

After well over three seasons as manager, if you're relegated this season is benitez to blame?

Very straightforward.

He would share the blame with others.

You’re wasting your time mate, they’ll avoid answering the question as usual.

Nothing, and I mean nothing will be Benitez’ fault.

A relegation would be Benitez's and others fault.

10th to relegated would be Ashley’s fault?? It’s not like you were 16th and survived on the last day and needed a complete overhaul...just needed a tweak here and there... This is on Rafa, in my opinion...he’s absolutely shittin the bed right now. God Bless him!

Few things to unpack there;

"Rarely plays most of his buys" How've you come to that conclusion? It's 4 games in and the indolence of Ashley and his cronies meant that we did our business later than we should, meaning the new players are unlikely to be ready to play in Benitez' style yet.
Our squad is so thin because of a legacy of poor transfer business under Ashley's reign that given our modest ambition, it makes sense to fatten out the squad a bit. Rather than dumping your limited budget on a few players.
We did not sign 12 players, we signed: Dubravka, Schar, Fernandez, Ki, Kenedy, Muto, Rondon. For the princely sum of, what, £25m? Even if Benitez was allowed to buy his first choices, how many could he actually get for £25m?
What exactly is Benitez style?

so, if you'd bought Ki, Kenedy and Rondon for 50m, you'd be happier having spent 75m but having the same team?
