The lad that wrote the article may be, but judging from the comments, the moonies are still in full control
I hope he’s got good bodyguards :)

Rafa's comments make him sound like Moyes and McLaren ... Rafa McMoyes he's the man.

I'm just so grateful for the atmosphere at the SoL now, even if I do have to sit in the East stand with a fake flask and blanket, it feels more like Roker Park (with seats obviously and much better bogs). Loving my club right now but cannot feel sorry for the Mags, this has been coming to them for a while.

ALS WMS ITHICS all of the way
Nothing wrong with the East Stand ;)

Steve, undertaker Wraith and Craig Hope at it now

The thing with this story is that it seems to specific not to be true. To make up a story like this and be so specific would be risky for a journalist. I believe him fwiw, but clearly some people wanna be an ostrich

Do you not rate Craig Hope?
I think he's pretty good. There's several North East based journalists for the national press who are decent.

If he's getting involved with attention seeking imbeciles, like Wraith, on the internet then, no, I don't rate him.

There are people, on this forum, with twice the wit and intellect and infinitely more humility.

They're the people I rate.

That’s pretty much exactly what I’ve said about it, and about the bust up one. Too specific, too detailed to not be true.
Some of the vitriol is quite unsettling at the minute. I love football and I love my team but I’ve never got some of anger and hatred people show.
I have said that on here about some of our fans too, so it’s not just focused at Newcastle fans.

To be fair Steve Wraith tweeted about him, and pretty much called him a liar, so Craig Hope responded.

Wraith is a clown who can only gain credibility by engaging people better than him.

They should just ignore him for the idiot he obviously is.

He also had words with Ryder after being caller a liar. He's obviously pretty certain on the facts, somebody has given him an off the record interview. Same as the training ground invite situation.

Absolutely. He’s arguing that his invitation story was to show how petty it all is, I’m not even certain it wasn’t intended to be in support of Rafa. Who knows but one thing is for certain I’d believe him over Ryder.

Absolutely. Ryder is poor, although at times I think he's writing under duress. All these 5 things we learned bits and general low level journalism. Think he's probably being instructed to go that route by the editors. Douglas was mint at the Journal and now at the chronicle his quality has diminished. Gotta be editorial.
As for ones I'd trust or respect ahead of Ryder I'd say Caulkin, Martin Hardy,Luke Edwards, Craig Hope, Mark Douglas, even sunderland fan Louise Taylor is quite on the money when it comes to Newcastle. Ryder has to stay in line after the club banned them for overly negative pieces. Chronicle relies on coverage of NUFC to keep it going.

Agree, George is top of the pile for me.
In terms of having inside information I’d agree with your list, Martin Hardy especially. I think Luke Edwards gets info, wasn’t he banned for running the Colo had gone back to Argentina story one January?

I think so. Think it was Edwards and Caulkin who bought SD shares in order to attend the AGM to try and talk to Ashley which they didn't have to do, but shows a bit of tenacity.

George is spot on, and is true to his word, when he interviewed me the other week for the article after the Scunthorpe game, there were certain things I asked him not to mention about me dad and he was sensitive to it and true to his word.
