Its mad isnt it? They are insistent that they are being hard done by. Yes its not absolutely ideal but what they dont realise is, if Ashley went they could get a Short or worse. It could take us at least 5 years to get to a stableish Premier League level- theyve got it and they arent happy.
I think the comments from Gray etc are spot on. They don’t want to hear it but Ashley has done a lot for them and they too blind to see it. Blokes a businessman and in all fairness a ruthless and bloody good one....few thousand pissed geordies who don’t know the difference between their dole money and commodity charging etc won’t make a difference. Gets right people around him, yeah made some mistakes but generally they in a better position than they realise in today’s game

This...plus he's also getting blamed for brexit, third world debt, War, hunger and pestilence ;)
Mentioning brexit Iv never seen Ashley and Theresa May in the same room....maybe they are the same person and he’s the reason brexit could go tits up

What i dont get is, that surely this Rafa who does his indepth research would have realised what Ashley is about. Like most things there is truth and valid points made on both sides

You cannot even remotely compare the two situations without taking into account all factors. So yes he was.

No, he was comparing Jose’s twisting with Rafa’s twisting.

Jose is twisting because he can’t sign the centre backs he wants to replace the centre backs he signed.

Rafa is twisting because he can’t sign the players he wants to replaces the players he signed.

Nobody is comparing Newcastle and Man Utd. They’re comparing the twisty, overrated fuckers in charge of them who are past their best and need to twist about the lack of money they have to try and divert away from their inability to do the job they’re paid very very well to do - coach and manage the players at their disposal

Ok twisting on when you are spending 90m on players of your choosing is wildly different to Rafas gripes and you know it.

When did you lot last break your record transfer fee? And remind me what league are you in? When did we last break ours ? It's an embarrassment that we are being so shockingly backed financially. Every newly promoted team spent more than us in this window. Every one.

I get that we are never going to have reasoned debate but come on now. Take an unbiased look at it will you.

This @mag in peace now piss off and go and shout at some store fronts

What I truly don't understand is why you as a set of fans cannot look objectively at it. Every mag i know would admit that Short did an appalling job, yet mackems act like they would want Ashley and we should be lucky. It's utter f***ing nonsense .

Spent more than Burnley and yet Dyche has them doing better why's that?

Stability and over a longer duration. Worth noting Burnley haven't made a great start...

It's so funny that this has now become the only way to measure how much money teams spend. You've spent £12mil plus on seven players in the last few years but this is irrelevant because you didn't spend on extra 5mil on one of them to break the fee you paid for Owen (a massive fee at the time).

What you have failed to appreciate is the market has been getting more and more ridiculous. That barely buys you a squad player now.

The newly promoted clubs have a lot of catching up to do and this year two of them have gambled heavily. They will probably be in serious financial strife if it backfires and they go down. This rubbish from the moaners that they don’t want to compete with Man Utd but only with Huddersfield and Brighton is laughable when you answer this question:

How many times have Huddersfield or Brighton, Fulham, Wolves, Cardiff, etc. finished above nufc while Ashley has been there?

And to clarify I am no supporter of Ashley and despise everything he stands for in the way he runs businesses and treats the worker.

He’s said nothing extra that nobody on here hasn’t already said, and tried to penetrate through the Mags heads. I love how they just choose to ignore the running costs of a club (Transfer Fees, wages, Signing on Fees, Agents fees, players registrations fees etc) when it comes to the fact they’ve made a profit and Ashley to spend it.
