Of course I can.

I'm just not sure why the angle of "the doorman is a liar" is being persisted with, when he simply could have had a memory lapse much like our hero.

Reading a bit.

It seems both the prosecution and defence regarded the two gay lads as unreliable. Their evidence ebbed and flowed and changed - they were also pretty drunk and their memory was patchy.

Lawyers were unimpressed that Hales was let off and thought that the jury would find it difficult to believe that someone wouldn't be guilty of affray after they'd kicked someone in the head while they were lying on the floor! And there's a hint that Hale was let off during the trial because he had less involvement than Hales who wasn't charged in the first place.

And perhaps it's the fact that Hales wasn't charged even though he did what he did that lead the jury to think that therefore Stokes was not guilty.

Hales isn't on trial so that should be irrelevant, I think they've been found not guilty because they were never threatening anyone other than the people involved in the fight.

Hales is dead lucky the guy didn't want to press charges.

I thought the jury would go not guilty. I don't have a problem with the verdict as it doesn't have any bearing on me.

I'm just amused by the talk of media conspiracies and doormen being 100% liars.
Bonkers, but pretty standard stuff for these boards.

That’s the key bit. I was very surprised the verdict went as it did given the tidbits that had been reported and the video evidence shown. But I wasn’t in the court room, didn’t have the entire evidence available or have judge instructions.

It’s good news for English cricket that he was found not guilty. I don’t think that’s the end of it mind. It could still be quite protracted

Hales for me did the worst thing in that video, that was assault plain and simple.

Why I said at the time it was a media witch hunt. As Stokes has the bad character reputation they could make a story out of.

Bit like Raheem Sterling
