Virat Kohli

Just me who's warmed a little to this guy? Doesn't make excuses or sulk after a defeat, went against the BCCI's wishes to do an interview with Aggers after losing the first Test, and listening to Tuffers and Vaughan the other night, everyone was saying how engaged he is.

Don't get me wrong, he can be arrogant as fuck, but he has the ability to back it up.

Not for me. He's a prick and I'm enjoying this.

Nothing against his ability, he's an unbelievable batsman. And it's difficult to not turn out a prick when you have a nation of 1 billion people constantly blowing smoke up your arse.

But no, sorry, he's a prick.

Everybody who's played with him - including Morgan - say he's the nicest, most humble guy you could ever meet. Plays the game with a bit of passion and fight but leaves it on the pitch (mostly, some good interviews in Australia), I've never had a problem with him.

Humble? Give over... He's cricket's Ronaldo. It's all about him. Unless he's getting his arsed handed back like yesterday, when he seems to go missing.

He may well be a nice guy off the pitch, obviously couldn't comment. Ricky Ponting comes across a very nice man off the pitch, but on it he was a whinging twat. There are countless footballers who are dicks on the pitch and fine off it.

On the pitch: Kohli is a prick, time and again. None of which makes him anything less than a wizard with the bat.

I'm only going by the opinion of people who know him. Plenty of occasions in Australia especially where India have been battered and he's stood up to to be counted.

That's sort of my point. He goes into hiding not when his team get battered and he does well - a la Edgbaston - but when he personally gets done, like Lords. Same in Australia.

Kohli will be one of the greats when he finishes and is in top 3 as best batsman in the world over all 3 formats, however like a number of greats he is very selfish and overzealous towards the opposition and his team mates, things that probably make him so great but all so much disliked.
His main downfall though which he can't do much about is the constant wankathon that follows him, sky are also as bad as the Indian broadcasters with this. I ask if someone else had been dropped on numerous occasions in the first test and made that score would they be giving the same praise to them as they did to Kohli then slate the rest of his team mates for playing loose shots even though Kohli did on numerous occasions but they should still play more like Kohli.

Exactly what I was thinking.
