Well Ashley as you say is a proven liar, so who knows what Rafa has been told.. but as you say, it's a wait and see situation.

not once have I seen a post questioning benitez after they got stuffed of a not very good braga team 4 nowt the other day even though the mags had a strong team out, I know its only pre season but plenty of mag managers have been slated for stuff like that in the past. they are so far up his arse and have defended him to a point where they cant go back even though he deserves it they find it easier blaming Ashley for everything.

Football isnt about one statistic though. When there are 2 very average footballers with 0 achievements id say premier league appearances is a barometer Colback is the better player.

Your Ronaldo comment is just mental as Ronaldo has won everything. Over his career practically averages goal a game.... but you knew that you just cant accept im right that Hayden has not eclipsed Jack Colback yet :lol:

No, pre-season results ultimately don’t matter.

You’ve got to look into a bit more detail such as that it was 0-0 when Lascelles went off doesn’t bode well or it was only 1-0 after 75 minutes then the ceiling caved in which suggests on the first point a lack of leadership once you remove the captain and the second a lack of fitness at the back end of the games.

We haven’t got an easy start and if the morale of the players isn’t good (reports of bonuses yet to be paid from last season and this season’s on offer only being 25% of what they were last season) that isn’t going to help.

We were winning iirc. Although I don’t blame you for not knowing what a win against Darlington looks like. Same as my memory is fading of what a win against Sunderland looks like.
