You’ve no room to call anyone a Rat you welcher. Ultimate dishonour. You give Rats a bad name.
Ahh that's who you're talking about, f***ing shit for brains Rat boy. He must have me on ignore for some bizarre reason

So he welched on a bet eh, What was the bet marra?

Aye you should. You’re slipping.
We don’t have an issue with rats in gods county mate. Just around farms. All the town rats moved to Newcastle when John Hall declared its nation status.
Didn't John hall declare all Newcastle lasses rats? Or was it dogs?

Can't remember ;)

Just realised Salah scored 32 last season. Last time I trust shite information on here.

But I don't think Marcus Stewart was a better player than Eric Cantona (19 goals in a season vs 18). Fair play to @Banks for thinking differently though.
" shite information on here " you really don't have to be on here tbf.

Footy forum yes and everyone is welcome, but if you ain't happy just fuck off somewhere else.

Auld pukka bet another poster on here we wouldn’t get 5 mill for McNair, minutes before we did. He wouldn’t pay up, not even to charity, the ringpiece.
He’s got me on ignore anarl. I’m chuffed to bits. Gutless knacker.

Dogs marra and it was Freddie Shepherd or Douglas Hall, or maybe both.

So you believe Benitez showed real ambition by going to a club on the brink of relegation to work for a proven liar .....

..... fair enough.
Perhaps the lies he was told was enough to convince him there was opportunities, neither of us know so it's only opinion, hence my highlighting.

You used appearances as a measure of quality with no exceptions, man. Now you’re bringing positions into it.

Then you went onto goals scored in a season when that hole was poked in your logic.

I still don’t think Marcus Stewart (19 goals in a season) was as good as Eric Cantona or Jermain Defoe, mind (18 goals in a season).

If we are comparing positions, N’golo Kante has played less Premier League games than Jack Colback. Is Colback better than him?[/QUOTE]

what hole did you poke?

Salah 32 goals
Cole 34 goals.

your not very bright are you

You are saying appearances only not me. Cantona and Defoe scored a lot more goals than Stewart. Kante has played in higher level teams.

Hayden has erm erm erm

We are debt free, have cleared most of the high earners, have some promising young players and just attracted a billionaire investor to the board?
I know and it’s great. But I’d love to be a stable Prem club and that’s what the Mags have. Dunno why they’re moaning.

Because they have not got what they see as their rightful place among the elite. Challenging for the title, champions league qualification, cup wins.

You're ignoring the fact that Newcastle were a club on the brink of relegation.

Joining a club with a big chance of wasting a season in the Championship doesn't show great ambition.

Especially when that club had been relegated recently before and has won nothing under Ashley.

That's not jut my opinion.

If Newcastle was the best Benitez was fit for then that's a different matter.

They've had two recent relegations and had another scare last season, hardly stable tbh

What makes you think we are stable? We were the newly promoted side last year, apart from the top 7 - 8 teams, throw the rest into a hat and anyone could be relegated. However you can try and rectify this with some investment, It was clearly identified last year that we need a proven goal scorer, we created chances but didn't put them away. This years agenda as a priority was to buy a proven goal scorer, but again we had to go to the bargin basement. Granted players with high fees can be flops and low fees can be master strokes.
But it seems that we have stood still while those around have moved on. So no, we are not an stable premier league club, in my opinion.

Considering proven goalscorers go for 25m minimum who did you expect to sign?

They’ll be fine this season man.

His initial remit was to try and save the club from relegation, he signed a short term contract. No ambition required or needed, as there was sod all he could do aside from work with what he had.
Joining a club with a big chance of wasting a season in the Championship doesn't show great ambition.
He could have walked away after the failed premier season.
Especially when that club had been relegated recently before and has won nothing under Ashley.
Explained above

Also this, he found a home and we got a good manager

They do give that impression. As I’ve said, they’ll not go down this season.

I don't know to be honest, I think we would have to look abroad, as we did as those kinds of strikers in the premier league are not for sale, at least not to us, so I don't know.
This Japanese fella could be ok, I don't know. It just screams of desperation to me, on the back of a decent world cup, available, cheap. yeah we will have him.

Don't get me wrong, I think you are correct, I think we will be fine too, but we had an opportunity to step up again, small steps, but you keep moving forward.

They most likely won’t mate, but the truth is with the premier league the way it is, any team outside the top five or so, no matter how well run or otherwise can go down. Just standing still in that division can take significant investment. It’s absolutely brutal.
